Ground Source Heat Pump and Plant Room Installation

Ground Source Heat Pump and custom plant room in Ulcombe, Kent, extending efficient heating and hot water to both the main property and an adjoining annexe.

We recently completed a project in Ulcombe, Kent, involving the installation of a Ground Source Heat Pump system and the construction of a dedicated plant room. This installation was part of a larger effort to upgrade the heating system for a main property and its adjoining annexe.

Ground Source Heat Pump Installation

Our team was responsible for installing the ground loops and the Ground Source Heat Pump, key components in creating an energy-efficient heating system. Ground loops were carefully laid out to harness the earth’s natural heat, providing a sustainable energy source for the property. The Ground Source Heat Pump was then installed, designed to efficiently convert this geothermal energy into reliable heating and hot water for the building.

Plant Room

To house the Ground Source Heat Pump and its associated equipment, we constructed a plant room tailored to the system's specifications. By centralising the heating system's key components in this dedicated space, we enhanced both the functionality and maintainability of the installation.

Heating the Adjoining Annexe

In addition to the main property, we extended the heating system to include an adjoining annexe. To meet the specific needs of this space, we installed an additional hot water cylinder, ensuring a consistent supply of hot water. Further external controls were also added, allowing for precise management of the heating and hot water supply to the annexe.
